My blog, Jane Austen’s World, has a different look and feel depending on which browser you use. I am curious to know how my blog’s pages look on your computer. Does your view resemble image A, which is how Jane Austen’s World looks on Firefox and Google Chrome…

A. Firefox or Google Chrome header
or does it resembles image B, which is how my blog looks on Internet Explorer. In image B the pages on top of the blog are messed up.

B. Internet Explorer header
Thank you for taking this short poll.
With IE8, I see image A (some minimal spacing differences). Your picture of image B is interesting — what other words besides “from the 19th C.” are hidden under your search box in image A?
Regardless of whether I use Firefox, Chrome or IE, I get image A.
I love your blog, by the way.
Thank you, Phillip. Your compliment makes my day. :) Marguerite, the tab says: Original Sources and Texts from the 19th c. It’s the tab that this blog was founded on – reading the words of the people who actually lived through this era. Unfortunately, I cannot remove the search bar, which would have helped me to alter the design of the pages and their titles. Vic
I took a screencap of what it looks like in Firefox on my Mac. I sent it to you. It’s a bit like B, but the search bar is covering a different spot.
I use Safari and it appears as Image A. But, I would love the blog regardless of the format!
I use IE 7 and I see image A. I think it looks fine!
Now using Firefox v3 I see image A. Again, looks fine!
Thank you all for your comments. Only one person had a problem, persuading me to keep my template. I enjoy your comments and am thrilled that so many of you like my posts. I must add that nearly 200 of you voted and that only one person saw image B. I am also amazed that so many of us are using Firefox. May I also recommend Google Chrome. I just love this new browser.
