Gentle readers,
Several people wanted to know about the china pattern used in the Longbourn diningroom scenes of P&P 95. J.A.W. visitor Marcia Larson found the Cornelia Green pattern by Mottahedeh (See comment in this post). Examining the photos of the china in the dining scene with the pattern that Marcia found – look at the butterfly – I believe she is correct.

The Bennets dining at Longbourn.

Wow what a great find!!!
Do you know which china set is used during Elizebeth Bennett’s conversation with Mr. Wickham when she is reporting back her impressions of Mr. Dacry after returning from Kent? It’s is a rose print or some type of flower with gold trim and it’s so beautiful, I can not find what set it is though!
Thanks!
Thank you so much for the information! It really is a lovely set. If anyone is interested, the pattern used at in the family dining scenes at Netherfield (mostly seen at the beginning of the series) is English Renaissance by Royal Doulton.
Thank you, Katrina, I’ll pass this on. Click here to see the post about Netherfield.

OK, if anyone is still following this post and it’s cousin about the Netherfield china, I have a related question. BTW, what a GREAT blog..and I’ve been dying to find out which patterns they use in these mini-series by pausing the dvd and trying to figure it out.
What pattern do the Collinses use for breakfast at Hunsford parsonage? I’ve also seen this pattern used in the BBC series Monarch of the Glen.
It is Mason’s Blue Mandalay, and it is very available! M
I believe it is also featured on the BBC version of Sense and Sensibility (1981). Fanny Dashwood asks Mrs. Dashwood if she’ll leave it with the estate when they move.
Any ideas?
Marcia, Thanks so very much! I had no idea how easy it was to find these pieces, or that they were ironstone. Thanks again!
What about the china set used in the BBC “Sense & Sensibility” (1981) in the scene when Brandon visits Eleanor in London and asks her to tell Mr. Ferrars about his gift of the parish on his estate?
