Excellent details – visitors to Paxton House (C18th Neo-Palladian mansion with Regency Picture Gallery in the Scottish Borders) love it when we tell them this sort of stuff!

I just listened to this podcast the other day. It is fascinating to learn about all the crazy concoctions and things that made one beautiful. Follow this podcast up with Great Hair. That one is equally fascinating.
